The Teacher Trainees' Association of
Ghana (TTAG) is set to hold its
24th Annual Delegates Congress in
September 2019. It is not yet clear the
exact date the Congress is scheduled to
take place but checks have revealed that
both the Sector and National Congresses
are likely to come off from 14th to 24th September, 2019.
St. Francis College of Education, Hohoe,
is likely to host this year's National
Congress, which means that TTAG Volta
Congress will automatically be held at the
same venue. Congress, the highest
decision making body of the Association, will see delegates from the
46 public Colleges of Education, Ex - officials among others discuss
issues pertaining to the welfare of
teacher trainees and come out with
possible resolutions. There will be
election of new executive officers to
man the affairs of the Association for the next TTAG year.
In an interaction with one of the Sector
Coordinators, he stated that the Electoral
Commission will come out with the
modalities for elections in the coming weeks.
He admonished trainees who have the
desire to contest for any of the portfolios to get
themselves ready. The National Congress
will witness other events such as 2019 Women Empowerment summit which
will see to the crowning of a new beauty queen popularly referred to
as Face of TTAG.
