The Amedzofe E.P College of Education in the Volta Region has gotten a modern facility making it moves from antiquity to 21st century as the Ho West Member of Parliament Honourable Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzra commissioned and handed over a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) facility to the College.
In a brief ceremony where the facility has been handed over to the College Management, Hon. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzra said, the facility is necessary at this time in order to end the centuries old tradition of using firewood at the College’s kitchen here in his constituency.
According to Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzra, the project, which was valued at GH¢ 30,000 was purely funded by his private firm as part of his corporate social responsibility to the people of the Ho West Constituency.
Changing from firewood to Gas, according to the Member of Parliament is a dream realized in his beloved constituency as he expresses happiness and satisfaction by putting smiles on the faces of mothers at the School’s Kitchen and students who were full of joy.
Dr. Dickson Tsey, the principal of the college also acknowledged the MP and the entire PPMC for their kind support.
“What else could be more rewarding and fulfilling than putting smiles on the faces of our people as leaders?Still: Leadership You can Trust.” He said.
He then continued to advice the trainee teachers to take their books seriously and impact knowledge and bring positive change to the society.
