Works on Wi-Fi connectivity in Colleges of Education to start soon

According to the Colleges of Education Weekly Journal, there were meetings held between the National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE) and the Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) where it was agreed that NCTE will develop a checklist to assess Wi-Fi and connectivity issues in all 46 public Colleges of Education. Verification visits will be undertaken to the Colleges of Education and if needy Colleges identified, those needy Colleges will complete a short application form capturing key information to include need areas, cost/budget, service provider, and completion date. Meanwhile, T-TEL and NCTE are working with Plan Ghana (KNET) to assess internet connectivity in Colleges of Education where Plan Ghana is implementing the T4T project but the Colleges of Education still have connectivity challenges.

The News Desk also reported that materials from 43 Colleges of Education have been received by the Virtual Learning Taskforce for uploading onto the 4,750 micro SD cards which are being procured to aid student teachers in their virtual lessons.
